Movado Rolls Out The Captain Series Watch Collection Honoring Jeter

Movado is launching a collection of special-edition watches honoring Yankees SS Derek Jeter, a longtime endorser of the brand. The Captain Series features a trio of watches, each of which features a prominent number "2" at the 2:00 position in reference to Jeter's jersey number. The series became available today at 2:00pm ET on Movado.com (Movado).

Meanwhile, Richard Mille appeared in-studio today on CNBC's "Squawk Box" and discussed making customized watches for athletes including golfer Bubba Watson and tennis player Rafael Nadal. CNBC's Robert Frank noted, "His pieces sell for up to $2 million." Frank: "It's rare that you do interviews. What's demand like right now for your watches?" Mille: "It has been unbelievable since the beginning of the company because the growth is incredible. But at the same time, I love to control my production because they are very complex watches to develop" ("Squawk Box," CNBC, 7/15).
