CBS Sports Network To Begin Simulcasts Of "The Doug Gottlieb Show"

CBS Sports Network will begin simulcasting "The Doug Gottlieb Show" on Aug. 25. The show will fit into the 3:00-6:00pm ET weekday time slot and will be produced from the CBS Sports Radio studios in N.Y. "This is high-quality programming that we're using to occupy a prime spot for us," said CBS Sports President David Berson. "This will add great value to our network." As a result of the move, the channel is discontinuing "Lead Off," the late-night hour-long show co-hosted by Gottlieb and Allie LaForce. CBS promoted LaForce to become lead sideline reporter for CBS' SEC college football package this fall. "Given their new and expanded roles, it was unrealistic to continue to produce 'Lead Off,'" Berson said.
