Longtime GMR Marketing Exec Mike Boykin No Longer With Company

GMR Marketing Exec VP/Sports Mike Boykin is no longer with the firm. The company informed staff by e-mail yesterday that Boykin’s last day of work was March 31. He had been with GMR since '98 and played a central role in building the firm’s Charlotte office and sports practice, which expanded from consulting clients in NASCAR to working with clients across the Olympics, PGA Tour, college and other sports. Both Boykin and GMR declined to comment on his departure. GMR Senior VP Cameron Wagner will continue to run the company’s Charlotte office, which she began to oversee last year. Boykin’s departure comes on the heels of Greg Busch leaving GMR in February.
