NFL Hires Ad Sales Veteran Matthews As Senior VP/Media Sales

The NFL has hired digital ad sales veteran Brian Matthews as its new Senior VP/Media Sales. Matthews is now responsible for selling both NFL Network and NFL digital inventory, reporting to NFL Media COO Brian Rolapp. The move completes a reorganization at the NFL that started last September when former Senior VP/Sponsorship & Media Sales John Brody left the league after Rolapp announced his intention to split the top sponsorship and media sales job into separate positions.

Matthews most recently was Senior VP/Sales for NBC News Digital, and prior to that served as NBC Digital Entertainment VP/Sales. He has more than 15 years sales experience with NBC, the BBC and CNN Digital.
