Panthers Unveil First Phase Of Bank Of America Stadium Project

The NFL Panthers today unveiled the first phase of renovations to Bank of America Stadium, which will include two new endzone video boards two-and-a-half times larger than the current screens. Daktronics is producing the new HD boards measuring 63 feet high by 212 feet long. The 13-millimeter, 1080-pixel boards are the same technology as the new screens at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver.

In addition, the Panthers are adding new five-foot-tall LED ribbon boards to encircle the entire seating bowl. Other upgrades include new escalators and fan plazas in the upper deck. Construction starts in two weeks, with completion scheduled for July 1. The first phase covers about $65M of the total $87.5M in facility improvements.
