247Sports.com's Shannon Terry To Become Comicbook.com CEO

247Sports.com co-Founder & CEO Shannon Terry is also assuming duties as CEO of Comicbook.com, a Nashville-based website focusing on comic book-influenced pop culture. 247Sports.com and Comicbook.com will share some engineering and technology resources, and Terry said there also will be joint sales efforts involving both sites. Terry has also become a significant investor in Comicbook.com. The alliance seeks in part to take advantage in the rise of interest in comic book-related culture, and further leveraging male audiences interested in both comic books and college sports.

"In no way will this negatively affect my responsibilities and passion for 247Sports," Terry said. "I have invested three years of money, blood, sweat and tears in 247Sports, and we are finally in a position to make our claim in the category. Comicbook.com will bring immediate and additional resources to our team of experts and will open the doors for more media opportunities." 247Sports.com COO Noah Stanley also will expand his role to become Chief Product Officer of Comicbook.com.
