BTN Documentary Relives Ohio State-Michigan Tie In '73

The Big Ten Network on Saturday will air "Tiebreaker," a 60-minute film on the impact of the '73 Ohio State-Michigan football game, which ended in a 10-10 tie. The channel's first full-length documentary looks at the aftermath of the game, which culminated in a controversial vote by Big 10 ADs selecting Ohio State to represent the conference in the Rose Bowl  (THE DAILY).

The Detroit Free Press’ Mark Snyder writes the film transports viewers “back to the moment, living through the game, the aftermath … and the fallout.” The Cleveland Plain-Dealer's Bill Livingston writes the AD vote "took the national divisiveness over the Watergate hearings and the Vietnam War and plunked it down on the 50-yard line of college football." Awful Announcing's Matt Yoder writes, "The real strength of the documentary is footage interspersed throughout the program from a dinner between 6 players from both teams."
