NASCAR Takes Lead In Campaign For COPD Awareness In November

NASCAR on Friday announced that it will lead a joint campaign with partner Drive4COPD throughout COPD Awareness Month in November to bring awareness and encourage fans to be screened for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The initiative will include a 10-second PSA to air on ESPN and FS1 during race broadcasts, SiriusXM will air 30-second COPD awareness spots and the NASCAR logo will feature an orange ribbon throughout the month. Drive4COPD has title sponsored the season-opening Nationwide Series race at Daytona Int'l Speedway since '10.

Meanwhile, Roush Fenway Racing's No. 16 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Ford driven by Greg Biffle will feature a special paint scheme for Sunday's AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway as part of the 3M Hire Our Heroes campaign. A select group of military veterans that work in auto repair shops will have the chance to watch pregame ceremonies from pit road (THE DAILY).
