David Stern Says TV Everywhere Will Soon Be The Norm

NBA Commissioner David Stern spoke today at the NYC TV Week event at the Waldorf Astoria, where he said that TV Everywhere will "eventually become the norm." Stern said, "TV Everywhere is going to be an accepted part of our video and television infrastructure. Give it another three or four years." Stern added that TV Everywhere "factors greatly" into the NBA's "current rights deals with its national TV partners."

When Stern was asked if "making the league's content available on so many different platforms was putting it in danger of slicing the salami too thin, he argued that's the wrong way to look at it." He responded, "We've changed the 'slicing the salami' rhetoric to 'any time, any place, anywhere on any device'" (BROADCASTINGCABLE.com, 10/28).
