MLB Network on Friday ran a special opening prior to its telecast of Pirates-Cardinals NLDS Game 2. Actor Ray Liotta narrates the segment, which was filmed over two days earlier this month at the Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa. The opening shows footage of postseason players Miguel Cabrera, Prince Fielder, Clayton Kershaw, Andrew McCutchen, Yadier Molina, Dustin Pedroia, Yasiel Puig, Justin Verlander and Adam Wainwright on the famous cornfield baseball diamond. The spot uses the same rotoscope technology used to create MLB Net's '12 Emmy Award-winning opening "The Scrapbook."

Meanwhile, MLB announced that its Fan Cave initiative will return for a fourth consecutive year in '14 at the same location in N.Y. (THE DAILY).
