More Than 55,000 Tickets Sold For West Virginia-Maryland In Baltimore

Maryland on Saturday will play a football game at M&T Bank Stadium for the first time since '10, and while the game against West Virginia "might not sell out" at the 71,000-seat venue, 55,000 tickets had been sold as of Thursday morning. Maryland Deputy AD Nathan Pine said that a "surge in ticket sales this week" has pushed sales from 46,000 last week to the current number, and he believes that "most of those who have purchased tickets in the past few days ... are Maryland fans" (Baltimore SUN, 9/20). UM will receive $3.5M from the stadium for playing the game there (Mult.).

Maryland on Saturday will be wearing the latest iteration of Under Armour's "Maryland Pride" uniforms.
