Braves-Nationals Game Postponed In Wake Of Navy Yard Shooting

The Braves and Nationals will play a "split doubleheader" tomorrow at Nationals Park after tonight's game was postponed due to the deadly shooting at the Navy Yard in DC. MLB Network's Richard Justice said both teams "were prepared to play, but I think with sensitivity to the city and the community and law enforcement, it would not have been the right thing to do." Justice noted the "streets are blocked off all around here, you can hear the sounds of helicopters," as the Navy Yard is "just right over the centerfield wall" ("The Rundown," MLB Network, 9/16).
