SBJ/SBD To Begin Unveiling Top Minor League Markets

Next Monday, SBD and SBJ will unveil our biennial ranking of the country’s top minor league markets among more than 225 communities nationwide. It is a project that takes into consideration more than 400 teams and close to 50 leagues as well as almost 250 million fans in total minor league attendance over the past five seasons. This week, the countdown to No. 1 begins. Tomorrow in SBD, we will unveil the market that takes the No. 5 spot in this year’s survey. The countdown continues all week, as we will unveil the rest of the Top 5 daily leading up to No. 1 next Monday.

A clue to our No. 5 market: This is the only market in the top 50 that is not home to a professional baseball team, but one that has seen the biggest five-year attendance growth for its teams among all markets in our survey.
