Google+ Hangout Could Reveal News About Future X Games Site

ESPN X Games today or tomorrow is expected to announce whether Austin, Charlotte, Chicago or Detroit has won a three-year bid to host the event, and news or "at least details about the announcement" could surface tonight during a Google+ Hangout. The Hangout at 6:30pm ET also "appears to be a preview and countdown" to the Aug. 1-4 X Games L.A. (MLIVE.com, 7/16).

Meanwhile, Detroit bid organizers "may be dropping hints online" about the announcement. The Twitter and Facebook pages for "X Games Detroit Bid" yesterday posted links to the X Games Detroit website "that shows a running countdown clock" (MLIVE.com, 7/16).
