Deloitte Report: Qatar To Spend $200B Preparing For '22 World Cup

A report from Deloitte says that Qatar plans to spend $200B "over the next decade as it prepares to host" the '22 FIFA World Cup. The report, released today, said that $140B "will be for transportation infrastructure including a new airport, roads and a metro system to deal with the 400,000 fans expected for the month-long tournament." Another $20B "will go to tourism infrastructure" (AP, 7/9).
