Overnights: Indy 500 Draws All-Time Low; Coca-Cola 600 Flat

ABC earned a 3.8 overnight Nielsen rating for the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday afternoon, marking the lowest overnight for the race since it began airing live in '86. The previous low was a 4.0 rating in '10. The telecast this year was down 7% from last year’s race.

Meanwhile, Fox earned a 4.1 overnight for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday night, flat compared to the rating for last year’s race. The NASCAR race had strong competition from TNT’s Heat-Pacers Game 3, which drew a 5.5 overnight. On Sunday morning, NBC drew a 1.3 overnight for the net’s first-ever live telecast of the F1 Monaco Grand Prix.
