Trail Blazers Receive NBA Promo Award For Burgerville Activation

The Trail Blazers today formally announced that they have received the NBA's Team Sponsorship Activation of the Year Award. The team was recognized for its activation strategy with partner Burgerville, a restaurant chain in the northwestern U.S. The partnership included a limited-time offer Blazers Burger available at all franchise locations for a period of five weeks. The effort was co-promoted by the team and the restaurant (Trail Blazers).

Burgerville is in its final year of a three-year sponsorship of the team. The promotion "propelled sales" at the chain, which "saw a double-digit increase in customer store visits during the promotional period." Team officials said that the Blazers Burger "became the chain’s second-highest-selling limited-time-offer product in the company’s 52-year history" (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 5/20 issue).
