World Golf HOF Inducting '13 Class That Includes Venturi, Couples

The World Golf HOF tonight will hold its induction ceremony at St. Johns County Convention Center in St. Augustine, Fla. Former golfer and CBS analyst Ken Venturi is part of this year's class after being selected in the Lifetime Achievement category, but he is "recovering from a post-surgery infection at home ... and won't be able to attend the gala." Broadcaster Jim Nantz will accept on Venturi's behalf, "although Nantz made a point of saying his words will be brief" (GOLFWORLDMONDAY.com, 5/6).

The rest of this year's class is rounded out by golfers Fred Couples, Colin Montgomerie, Willie Park, Jr. and former European Tour Exec Dir Ken Schofield (THE DAILY).
