The SEC and ESPN today signed a 20-year deal through ‘34 to create and operate a conference network, which will launch in August ’14. The new cable net and its accompanying digital platform will air more than 1,000 events in its first year. Going forward, the net will televise approximately 45 SEC football games annually. As part of the agreement, ESPN will now oversee the SEC’s official Corporate Sponsor Program (SEC/ESPN).
