Sochi Games Investors Request Help From Russian Government

Some of the "biggest investors" in the '14 Sochi Games are "requesting financial help from the government to help ease the burden" from the event's estimated $50B price tag. In a letter addressed to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak, four major companies listed measures they want adopted to help them "secure a minimum return on investment." This marks the "latest in a series of complaints investors have made" in the face of heavy costs and "shaky prospects for profitability" (REUTERS, 4/2).
