Cubs' Epstein Weighs In On Importance Of Wrigley Renovation

Today marks the Cubs' self-imposed deadline for "getting a deal in place with city and neighborhood officials to lift restrictions in and around the ballpark" in order to start $300M in Wrigley Field renovations. While a deal is not expected by the end of the day, Cubs President of Baseball Operations Theo Epstein today weighed in on the importance of the project. Epstein: "If we don't get our Wrigley renovation done in a timely manner and done the right way, then we can't accomplish our business objectives, and that will certainly get in the way of us ultimately accomplishing our baseball objectives" (SUNTIMES.com, 4/1).
