Top Execs Of Three NFL Partners Tabbed To Open Owners Meeting

Three top execs of NFL partners will discuss customer satisfaction and innovation Sunday evening for the league’s owners to start their annual meeting. CBS President & CEO Leslie Moonves, McDonald’s President & CEO Don Thompson and Disney Parks & Resorts Chair Tom Skaggs are scheduled to speak on a panel moderated by journalist Charlie Rose. McDonald's is a new NFL sponsor, and CBS and Disney unit ESPN are key NFL broadcasters. The Sunday evening presentation before the full Monday start of the annual meeting traditionally has featured a solo speaker. Former President Bill Clinton spoke last year and the heads of companies like Google and Goldman Sachs have appeared in previous years, so the panel format is a bit of a departure.

The customer satisfaction subject meshes with the league’s long-standing objective to improve the in-game experience. The annual meeting is scheduled to run through mid-day Wednesday, March 20, at the Biltmore Hotel in Phoenix, featuring a range of competition rules change proposals, updates on league business and review of player health and safety.
