IMG Audio Demonstrates Commitment To College Baseball Coverage

For much of the country, college baseball throws its first official pitch today. For IMG College and other college sports marketers, they see college baseball as a growth sport with plenty of untapped opportunities. IMG Audio, a division of IMG College, will be broadcasting more than 2,000 college baseball games and approximately 8,000 hours of coverage via radio, websites and mobile apps. At the Univ. South Carolina, where the Gamecocks have won two of the past three College World Series titles, their burgeoning network has grown to 20 radio stations and a mobile app (Michael Smith, Staff Writer).

Meanwhile, with N.C. State Univ. baseball ranked in the preseason top 10, the school has sold "more than twice as many season tickets as a year ago, with that number totaling more than 1,000 as the 2013 schedule gets underway" Friday afternoon (GOPACK.com, 2/15).
