Novak Djokovic-Owned Tournament Dropped From ATP Schedule
Published January 4, 2013
The ATP World Tour has dropped the Serbia Open, which was owned by tennis player Novak Djokovic, from the '13 schedule and bought back the tournament. The event "failed to attract top players or major sponsors." Djokovic and other top Serbian players did not participate in last year's tournament. Djokovic's Family Sport, which organized the event, said it "made the most rational decision considering the circumstances" (AP, 1/4).
