Fox' Brennaman, Billick Replace Albert, Johnston For Divisional Game

Fox' Thom Brennaman and Brian Billick will call one of the net's NFC divisional playoff games next weekend, "not the network's usual No. 2 team of Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston and Tony Siragusa." Fox Sports VP/Communications Dan Bell said, "We thought both broadcast teams had very strong years and decided to give Thom and Brian the opportunity to call a playoff game this season" (NEWSDAY.com, 1/4).
The San Diego Union-Tribune's Jay Posner wrote on his Twitter feed, "Good TV news ... Now CBS needs to do same thing: Promote Eagle/Fouts and demote Gumbel/Dierdorf. Sadly, that won't happen." SI.com's Jimmy Traina: "Late xmas gift."
