Sources: Pete Bevacqua Offered PGA Of America CEO Position

Sources said that Pete Bevacqua, who has served as head of CAA Sports' golf division, "has been offered the job" as PGA of America's CEO. It is "believed that Bevacqua will be formally approved" tomorrow by the organization's BOD and introduced at its annual meetings Friday and Saturday in Baltimore. Outgoing PGA CEO Joe Steranka announced his resignation in April, effective at the end of the year. Bevacqua joined CAA last year after resigning as USGA Chief Business Officer (GOLFWEEK.com, 11/7).
