Poker pro Greg Merson
was crowned the World Series of Poker's Main Event champion early this morning by defeating Jesse Sylvia
and Jake Balsiger
"after almost 12 hours of play" at Rio's Penn & Teller Theater in Las Vegas. Merson earned $8.5M with the win. It took almost 11 hours and nearly 250 hands of poker to eliminate third place finisher Balsiger, who took home $3.8M, at 4:45am PT.
