Clemson Hires Georgia Tech's Dan Radakovich As Its New AD

Clemson Univ. today named Dan Radakovich its new AD. Radakovich has spent the last six years as Georgia Tech AD. Clemson President James Barker said that Radakovich was the "right person to build on the work done" by Terry Don Phillips, who announced his retirement in August. The school said that the "three-month search drew about 30 candidates" (AP, 10/29). One of Radakovich's "primary accomplishments at Tech has been his leadership of multiple facilities projects" (AJC.com, 10/29).

Georgia Tech's official Twitter feed stated Senior Associate AD Paul Griffin "will serve as acting #GaTech athletics director while a national search is completed."

The Orlando Sentinel's Coley Harvey wrote on his Twitter feed, "Good move for him (good timing, too, given Tech's football year)." The Hampton Roads Daily Press' David Teel tweeted with this move, "7 of 12 #ACC schools will have changed ADs since June 2010."
