NBA D-League Approves Warriors' Plan To Relocate North Dakota Team

The Santa Cruz Warriors will play games in 2,700-seat Kaiser Permanente Arena
The NBA D-League today formally approved the Warriors’ plan to relocate the D-League Dakota Wizards franchise to Santa Cruz beginning this season, with the team to be renamed the Santa Cruz Warriors. The NBA Warriors bought the D-League team last year and are one of five NBA teams to own and operate a D-League franchise. The Santa Cruz Warriors will play the '12-13 D-League season, which begins on Nov. 23, at the 2,700-seat Kaiser Permanente Arena, a temporary facility. The team’s first game at the arena is on Dec. 23.
