Pac-12 Grants Commissioner Larry Scott Extension Through '16

The Pac-12 today said that its BOD "unanimously decided to extend the contract" of conference Commissioner Larry Scott through '16, with "options for future years" in the contract. Scott to date has served two years in his post as the league's sixth commissioner (ESPN.com, 2/6). Scott "has been praised for his innovation and leadership during arguably one of the most volatile periods for major conferences in college athletics" (CBSSPORTS.com, 2/6).
