AEG Facilities Helping Develop New Sports Complex In Moscow

AEG Facilities has signed a five-year consulting deal with VTB Bank to developa new sports complex in Moscow. The $1.5B project encompasses a new 45,000-seat soccer stadium, a 12,000-seat arena and 650,000 square feet of commercial space. The stadium will be the future home of the Dynamo Moscow Football Club and a host venue for the ‘18 FIFA World Cup.

The arena will play host to pro basketball and hockey. Both venues are scheduled to open in ‘16. AEG Facilities has been assisting VTB Bank in the early stages of development, and its consulting deal could lead to a separate agreement for AEG to operate the two facilities, said Andrei Peregoudov, VTB Bank’s Senior VP & Chair of the board for sports development.
