MLB.com Hits New All-Time High For Page Views In One Day

MLB.com yesterday drew an all-time traffic high in its 10-year-plus history with 142.3 million page views, according to internal Omniture metrics, extending a marked upswing in overall traffic thus far for the '11 season. The site since Opening Day has averaged 122 million page views per day, 48% higher than a comparable figure from the beginning of the '10 season, and 7 million video streams per day. MLB.com additionally is averaging 11.5 million visitors per day, up 17% from last year. On mobile platforms, the MLB.com At Bat 11 application has been accessed 1.75 million times per day, 115% higher than last year.

"We are gratified fans responded so favorably to the material changes we made this offseason across our websites, mobile applications and live game products," said MLB.com Exec VP/Content Dinn Mann.
