PGA Tour Launches New Android Application Sponsored By Nike

PGA Tour launches new
version of mobile app
The PGA Tour today launched a new version of its mobile application for the Android market. Beginning tomorrow, the Android app will be available with live scoring, video highlights and instant updates for PGA tour events throughout '11. The app will be sponsored by Nike Golf and will offer fans information specific to this week’s Honda Classic, including schedules, tee times, course information, and detailed player scorecards.

This marks the first Android app for the Tour. The Honda Classic is the first event under the tour’s new mobile phone policy, which permits the use of the devices in certain areas of the golf course. The app was created by PGATour.com in association with its digital partner, Turner Sports.
