TheWASHINGTON TIMES’ Tom Knott writes, “Mayor Anthony A. Williams appearswilling to stand on his head and count to 100 if it results in the citysecuring the nomadic Montreal Expos. The well-meaning mayor is preparedto do almost anything to impress Commissioner Bud Selig and theowners of Major League Baseball, even if it means building a $436[M] ballparkand dumping a $338.7[M] bill on the public. … The mayor is dancing with apampered group of entrepreneurs who think in mysterious ways and appearallergic to the nation's capital and Northern Virginia” (WASHINGTON TIMES).
