2014 Program Highlights

Headliners Announced!  From Start to Finish You Won’t Want to Miss the 12th Annual CSE Sports Marketing Symposium and Social Media & Sports Series.

This year’s Sports Marketing Symposium will kick-off with Steve Koonin, former brand marketer turned media/entertainment executive, and current co-owner and CEO of the Atlanta Hawks.

In the opening session, Koonin will share his thoughts on “The Sports Marketing Equation: How it’s Evolved and Where it’s Heading.” He will provide insights from where he sat both on the brand and broadcast sides of the business, and from where he sits now as CEO of a team.

And we will close the Social Media & Sports Series with a featured address from Anita Elberse, Author of Blockbusters: Hit-making, Risk-taking, and the Big Business of Entertainment and Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School.

Elberse will share insights into marketing in the digital age and will discuss, among other topics, partnerships between entertainers and consumer goods companies in today’s social / digital media landscape.

The 12th annual CSE Sports Marketing Symposium will be held Tuesday, October 14 and Wednesday, October 15 at the New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square.

Since 2003, the Symposium has drilled down into the marketing plans of some of the most active brands in sports and continues to be the one event each year that examines sports marketing from the people whose opinions and insights count the most the industry thought-leaders and brand-side marketers. 

In this age of technology marketing has become more complex. The program features an in-depth look at across all marketing platforms.
